Leonard Avenue Roadway Improvements – Kannapolis

The City of Kannapolis identified Leonard Avenue as a need through their Capital Improvement Program. Leonard Avenue was a 2-lane ribbon pavement road that was identified as part of its accentual roadway network into downtown Kannapolis and therefore needed to be improved to accommodate additional vehicular and pedestrian traffic. This project included the reconstruction of 1,300 linear feet of a two lane urban roadway between Bethpage Road and NC Hwy 3 in Loop Road in Kannapolis, NC to a 32-foot wide curb and gutter section with sidewalks, including reclamation of the existing roadway pavement, widening, installation of curb and gutter, storm drainage, retaining walls, and sidewalk.  AWCK provided design, bidding, contract administration and inspection on this project.
