Alley, Williams, Carmen, and King is dedicated to helping municipalities serve their citizens. Our client needs range from daily involvement with municipalities to annual involvement with every spectrum in between. We meet those needs by offering a comprehensive range of services that are provided by professional staff and engineers who have years of municipal involvement. Our services meet a wide spectrum of local municipality needs, ranging from plan review and construction inspection to pump station design and collection system compliance.

Contract Engineers

AWCK provides general engineering services to a number of Cities in North Carolina on a yearly contract basis. Under our general services contract, our municipal clients have the ability to utilize our on-call staff as needed. Our professional staff is made up of Engineers and Land Surveyors licensed in the State of North Carolina with a wide range of expertise including Water and Wastewater Engineering, Roadway Design, Environmental, Construction Management, and Construction Inspection. Most of our professional staff members are former Municipal, State, or NCDOT Engineers and as such, each has the ability to work in partnership with local staff and management. Staff in both our Burlington and Kannapolis offices are available on an as needed basis.

Under our General Engineering Services Contract, we work closely with Elected Officials, Municipal Administrators, Public Works and Planning Staff with the implementation of development standards. We are charged to provide review of site plans, preliminary subdivision plans, subdivision construction plans, and final plats to ensure that they meet the requirements set forth in the Municipalities Zoning and Development Ordinances. In addition to review services, we also provide contract management and inspection of municipal projects. Our certified construction management staff ensures projects are completed in compliance with construction standard, contractual time and within budget parameters.
