Lake Michael Park Bio-Retention – Mebane

AWCK worked with the City of Mebane to upgrade the City’s Lake Michael Park. The park project included paving the entrance road and a parking lot, constructing a new parking lot, and replacing the aging restroom facilities. While the project did not require water quality improvements, the City of Mebane voluntarily built a bio-retention basin and installed a Contech Stormwater Device to improve water quality draining to the Lake from the new parking lots.  The park was completed in 2008 and has seen a substantial increase in usage by citizens since the improvements.
