FEMA Flood Elevation Certificates and Letters of Map Amendments and Revisions

After finding out that the location that he was going to build a house in was in a FEMA SFHA (Federal Emergency Management Agency Special Flood Hazard Area) this contractor brought in fill material to elevate the site before construction of the house. Using GPS and conventional surveying methods AWCK completed the FEMA documentation required to help him have his house and the land immediately adjacent to it removed from the SFHA meaning that he would not have to pay flood insurance. These documents included the FEMA Letter of Map Revision Based on Fill and an Elevation Certificate. After approval, FEMA revised their Flood Insurance Rate Maps to reflect the change.
