Moricle Memorial Park

This 30-acre development covers property formerly owned by the Guilford County Schools.  Construction was funded in part by a 1989 local bond referendum, and in part by a matching State grant secured by the Town of Gibsonville with the assistance of AWCK.

The park contains a fully fenced and lit baseball/softball field, shelters and picnic areas, a walking/nature trail, tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, and a large play area.  Phase II plans call for the development of additional ballfields and expansion of the walking/nature trails.  AWCK has worked with the Town of Gibsonville to develop preliminary plans for a new recreation center to be located on the northeast corner of the site.
