Sealed Bids will be received by the Orange Grove Volunteer Fire Company, at Fire Station # 1, 6800 Orange Grove Road, Hillsborough, North Carolina 27278, until 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 12th, 2026, for the “Office and Bay Addition to Existing Fire Station # 2”.

Pre-Bid Conference
A pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders and vendors at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 16th, 2026, at the project site (6801 Rocky Ridge Road, Hillsborough, NC 27278).
The proposed work is generally described as follows: One-story building addition (approx. 3,000 s.f.) to an existing pre-engineered metal fire station (2,000 s.f.). The building addition (offices, dorms, bathrooms, kitchen & apparatus bay) consists of concrete slabs on grade, masonry water table and metal stud walls with 2” insulated metal panels, steel structure and TPO membrane roof. Interior walls are 8” cmu and metal stud walls with gypsum board. Ceilings are 2’ x 2’ suspended acoustic tiles. Interior demolition work includes removal of existing walls, metal siding and plumbing fixtures / accessories. Exterior work consists of grading, landscaping, concrete driveway & parking lot, concrete sidewalks, flagpole and ground sign. See drawings for full extent of the work.

Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina; duly licensed accordingly for the appropriate section of Bid. Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a construction Performance Bond and a construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance, and the payment of, all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including – without limitation – the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids, and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if the Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of Owner to make an award to that Bidder. The owner also reserves the right to waive informalities. If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will give the Successful Bidder a Notice of Award within the number of days set forth in the Bid Form.
