Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Mebane (Owner), at the Glendale Stephenson Municipal Building,106 E. Washington Street, Mebane, NC 27302 until 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 26, 2026, for the GKN Pump Station 10” Force Main Replacement.

Pre-bid meeting

A Pre-bid meeting will be held at the Glendale Stephenson Municipal Building, 106 E. Washington Street, Mebane, North Carolina 27302 at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2026. All bidders are encouraged to attend.

The proposed work consists of installation of approximately 3,000 LF of 10” DIP Sanitary SewerForce-main, 60LF of 12” DIP Gravity Sewer Main and two pre-cast concrete manholes, along Gregory Poole Ln, Maple Ln, and Dogwood Way in Mebane, NC. All bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file at the office of Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc., Post Office Box 1179 / 740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC27216-1179. MBE/WBE Business Participation provisions are included in the Bid Documents. Copies of Bidding Documents may be obtained from Engineer at the address indicated herein, or a digital set can be downloaded at the following web address:www.awck.com/resources/bidding-plans/ . Bidders must be duly licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina for the appropriate work which is being Bid. Each Bid shall be accompanied with a deposit of cash, CERTIFIED CHECK or Bid Bond on bank or trust company in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid Amount for each Bid submitted. Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.
