Birch Lane Pump Station Improvements

Sealed Bids will be received by the Village of Alamance (Owner), 2874 Rob Shepherd Dr, Alamance, North Carolina 27051, (336) 226-5523, at the Office of the Engineer, 740 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 until 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 14, 2026, for the Birch Lane Pump Station Improvements. At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Pre-bid conference

A Pre-bid meeting will be held at Office of the Engineer, 740 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, North Carolina 27215 at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 23, 2026. All bidders are encouraged to attend.

The proposed work consists of installation of approximately 900 LF of 4” DIP Sanitary Sewer Force-main and one pre-cast concrete manhole.

All bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file at the office of Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc., Post Office Box 1179 / 740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27216-1179. MBE/WBE Business Participation provisions are included in the Bid Documents. Copies of Bidding Documents may be obtained from Engineer at the address indicated herein, or a digital set can be downloaded by submitting the form at the bottom of this page.

Bidders must be duly licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina for the appropriate work which is being Bid.

Each Bid shall be accompanied with a deposit of cash, CERTIFIED CHECK or Bid Bond on bank or trust company in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid Amount for each Bid submitted. Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.

No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.

(or its consultants), who shall be deemed the author of the drawings and data, and shall retain all common law, statutory law and other rights, and copyrights. The Client, Contractor, Subcontractor or agent agrees not to use these drawings or data, in whole or part, for any other project. These drawings and data are provided only for the convenience of the parties involved. The Client, Contractor, Subcontractor or agent agrees to waive all claims against Alley, Williams, Carmen and King, Inc. (or its consultants) resulting in any way from the reuse of these drawings or data. In addition, the Client, Contractor, Subcontractor or agent, as applicable, agree, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to indemnify and hold harmless Alley, Williams, Carmen and King, Inc. (and its consultants) from any damage, liability or cost, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs of defense, arising out of the use of these drawings. Under no circumstances shall transfer of the drawings and other instruments of service on electronic media for use by the Client, Contractor, Subcontractors or others be deemed a sale by Alley, Williams, Carmen and King, Inc., and AWCK makes no warranties, either express or implied, of merchantibility or fitness for any particular purpose.
