West Ten Road Waterline Connector

Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Mebane (Owner), 106 E. Washington St., Mebane, North Carolina 27302, at the Mebane Municipal Building (Glendel Stephenson Council Chambers) until 10:00 AM, Thursday April 30th , 2026, for the West Ten Road Waterline Connector.

Pre-Bid Meeting

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 2:00PM on April 16th, 2026 at the Mebane Municipal Building (Glendel Stephenson Council Chambers). All interested contractors or subcontractors are welcome to attend. Attendance is not mandatory but highly encouraged.

At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The proposed work will consist of the installation of new water infrastructure along a portion of West Ten Road (SR #1144) Mebane, North Carolina. The primary work will include the following items and appurtenances:

1. Installation of approximately 1,710 LF 12” DIP Water Main, including 40 LF of Bore and Jack of SR 1144.

2. Installation of 3 - 5 & 1/4” fire hydrants with associated gate valve.

3. Connection of proposed waterlines to 12” waterline.

4. Testing and Chlorination of the proposed water main.

5. Stabilization of the work area to meet or exceed preconstruction conditions.

All bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file at the office of Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc., Post Office Box 1179 / 740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27216-1179. Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina, duly licensed accordingly for the appropriate section of Bid. A 5% Bid security must accompany each Bid. Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.
