Southeast Regional Pump Station & Force Main – Mebane

AWCK provided construction drawings, specifications and bid documents, and construction related services for the City of Mebane’s Southeast Regional Pump Station and Force Main. The project consisted of installing approximately 14,000’ of 16” sanitary sewer force main, a 66” diameter tunnel under I-85/40, approximately 4200’ of 15” gravity sewer, and a new 1735 GPM Pump Station. The project was completed in 2008 and is designed to provide sanitary sewer to the southeastern side of Mebane. The project’s 66” tunnel under I-85/40 carries the Force Main, Gravity Sewer line, and a 12” Water Main. The project involved coordination with several new subdivisions that were under construction, coordination with residential neighborhoods, and extensive coordination with NCDOT and NC DENR.
