24052 – Town of Haw River – Lead Service Line Field Investigations
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids will be received by the Town of Haw River (Owner), PO Box 103, Haw River, NC 27258, or by drop-off at 403 E Main St. Haw River, NC 27258 until February 20th, 2025, at 2:00 PM for the Town of Haw River LSL Field Investigation Project. At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be opened and read aloud. The proposed work is generally described as follows:
LSL Field Investigation:
- Contractor to excavate no less than 18” horizontally on each side of the residential water meter, identify the service material type (public and private side of water meter) and record findings in provided workbook.
- Contractor to repair/backfill disturbed areas, seed and straw.
All bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file at the office of Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc., PO Box 1179/740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27216-1179. Copies of Bidding Documents may be obtained from Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc. at the office indicated herein, or a digital set can be downloaded HERE.
Bidders must be licensed to work in the State of North Carolina, duly licensed accordingly for the appropriate section of Bid. A 5% (five percent) bid security (bond) must accompany each Bid.
Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract. A pre-bid meeting will be held at AWCK, 740 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington NC, 27215 on Thursday February 13th, 2025, at 2:00 PM. All bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.
Disadvantaged Business Participation (DBE, MBE, WBE) provisions are included in the contract. The contract is expected to be funded through the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program.
Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids, and to reject the bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of Owner to make an award to that Bidder. Owner also reserves the right to waive informalities.
If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will give the Successful Bidder a Notice of Award within the number of days set forth in the Bid Form.
