23042 – Davidson County – New Bowers Road Pump Station and Outfall
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids will be received by Davidson County (Owner), 913 North Greensboro Street, Lexington, NC 27292, (336) 242-2000, at the office of the County Manager, Suite 404, until 3:00 P.M., Thursday, December 5th, 2024, for the New Bowers Road Pump Station and Outfall project.
At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The proposed work is generally described as follows:
New Bowers Road Pump Station and Outfall:
- Extension of Nucor Sanitary Sewer Outfall, including:
- 8,815 LF of 18” PVC Sewer, 460 LF of 18” DIP Sewer, 130 LF of 12” PVC Sewer, 90 LF of 12” DIP Sewer, & 12” Bore and Jack Crossing of US Highway 64 with 24” Steel Casing
- Upgrade of existing New Bowers Road Pump Station, including:
- Electrical and mechanical upgrades for 650 GPM pump station
- New Bowers Road Pump Station Sanitary Sewer Outfall and Forcemain, including:
- 2,365 LF of 12” PVC Sewer, 895 LF of 12” DIP Sewer, 4,675 LF of 8” PVC Sewer, 1,170 LF of 8” DIP Sewer, 11,800 LF of 10” DIP forcemain
- 8” Bore and Jack Crossing of US Highway 64 and Heath Church Road with 16” Steel Casing
- 10” Bore and Jack Crossing of Conrad Mine Hill Road with 24” Steel Casing
All bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file at the office of Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc., Post Office Box 1179 / 740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27216-1179.

Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina, duly licensed accordingly for the appropriate section of Bid.
A 5% Bid security must accompany each Bid.
Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Davidson County Government Building, 4th Floor, Commissioner Conference Room, 913 North Greensboro Street, Lexington, NC 27292, on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. All bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.
Disadvantaged Business Participation (DBE, MBE, WBE) provisions are included in the contract. The contract is expected to be funded through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program.
Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids, and to reject the bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of Owner to make an award to that Bidder. Owner also reserves the right to waive informalities.
If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will give the Successful Bidder a Notice of Award within the number of days set forth in the Bid Form.
