Town of Gibsonville Police HQ – Infrastructure and Rough Grading Plan

Sealed bids for the Town of Gibsonville Police HQ – Infrastructure and Rough Grading Plan will be received by the Town of Gibsonville in the Town Hall Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 129 West Main Street, Gibsonville, North Carolina 27249, (336) 449-4144 until 2 P.M., Thursday, August 8, 2024 and then publicly opened and read aloud.

The work will include the following items:

Phase A – Street extension connecting Lashley Park Drive to Steele St, Waterline extension including service and fire flow connections, sewer service, and storm drainage.
Phase B – Two SCM wet pond installations and storm drainage required for functioning of SCM’s.
Phase C – Rough Grading of Future site and compaction of hard surface areas.

All bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file with the Town of Gibsonville and at the office of Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc., Post Office Box 1179 / 740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC  27216-1179.

Consideration will be given only to bids of Contractors who submit evidence that they are licensed under “An Act to Regulate the Practice of General Contracting”, ratified by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina on March 10, 1925, and as subsequently amended, when such Act is applicable.

Each Proposal shall be accompanied with a deposit of cash or CERTIFIED CHECK on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the Proposal, said check to be made payable to the Town of Gibsonville.

In lieu of the above cash or CERTIFIED CHECK, the bidder may execute a Bid Bond for the same amount.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise provisions are included in the contract. The contractor should study and become familiar with these items.

An optional Pre-Bid meeting will be held at the Gibsonville Municipal Building, 129 West Main Street, Gibsonville, North Carolina 27249 on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 2:00 PM. All bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.

No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities, by order of the Board of Aldermen, Town of Gibsonville, North Carolina.
