23008 – Town of Haw River – Lang Street Pump Station Replacement
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids will be received by the Town of Haw River (Owner) – 403 E. Main Street Haw River, NC 27258,
(336) 578-0784 – at the office of the Town Manager, until 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 19th, 2024, for the Lang Street Pump Station Replacement project.
At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The proposed work is generally described as follows:

- Construction of new 700 GPM pump station, including:
- 10 FT diameter precast concrete wetwell
- Precast valve vault with valves, flowmeter, and appurtenances
- Electrical gear, controls, and appurtenances
- Generator and generator pad
- Site grading and construction of a cast-in-place retaining wall
- Construction of approximately 55 LF of 8” DIP force main, including:
- 16”x8” tapping sleeve and valve installed on existing 16” forcemain
- Valves and piping for bypass connection
- Construction of 125 LF of 12” DIP sanitary sewer main, including:

- 40 LF of 20” steel casing with 12” restrained joint DIP sanitary sewer main

All Bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file at the office of Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc., Post Office Box 1179/740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27216-1179.

Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina; duly licensed accordingly for the appropriate section of Bid.
A five (5%) percent Bid security must accompany each Bid.
Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a construction Performance Bond and a construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance, and the payment of, all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at the office of Alley, Williams, Carmen, & King, Inc. at 740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 on Monday, November 4th, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. All bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.
Disadvantaged Business Participation (DBE, MBE, WBE) provisions are included in the Contract. The Contract is expected to be funded through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program.
Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including – without limitation – the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids, and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of Owner to make an award to that Bidder. Owner also reserves the right to waive informalities.
If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will give the Successful Bidder a Notice of Award within the number of days set forth in the Bid Form.
