22093 City of Graham – Boyd Creek Sanitary Sewer Repair – Phase 2

Sealed bids for sanitary sewer rehabilitation will be received by the City of Graham (Owner) in the Graham Municipal Building at 201 South Main Street, Graham, North Carolina 27253, (336) 570-6700 until 2:00 PM Thursday, March 23rd, 2023 and publicly opened and read aloud.

The proposed work is generally described as follows:

Boyd Creek Sanitary Sewer Repairs – Phase II
The project includes approximately 1,615 linear feet of 8-inch (8”) cured-in-place pipe (“CIPP”) sanitary sewer rehabilitation and approximately 40 linear feet of 8” sanitary sewer dig and replace point repair.

All bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file with the City of Graham and at the office of Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc., Post Office Box 1179 / 740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27216-1179.

Copies of Bidding Documents may be obtained from Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc. at the address indicated herein. Digital versions of the same may be downloaded HERE.

Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina, and duly licensed for the appropriate section of Bid.

Each proposal shall be accompanied with a deposit of cash or CERTIFIED CHECK on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, said check to be made payable to the City of Graham.

In lieu of the above case or CERTIFIED CHECK, the bidder may execute a Bid Bond in the same amount.

Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.

A Pre-bid meeting will be held at Graham City Hall, 201 South Main Street, Graham, NC 27253 at 2:00 pm, March 9th 2023.

The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any or all irregularities. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 90 days from the date bids are opened.

The Client, Contractor, Subcontractor or agent agrees to waive all claims against Alley, Williams, Carmen and King, Inc. (or its consultants) resulting in any way from the reuse of these drawings or data. In addition, the Client, Contractor, Subcontractor or agent, as applicable, agree, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to indemnify and hold harmless Alley, Williams, Carmen and King, Inc. (and its consultants) from any damage, liability or cost, including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs of defense, arising out of the use of these drawings. Under no circumstances shall transfer of the drawings and other instruments of service on electronic media for use by the Client, Contractor, Subcontractors or others be deemed a sale by Alley, Williams, Carmen and King, Inc., and AWCK makes no warranties, either express or implied, of merchantibility or fitness for any particular purpose.
