10” Water Main Replacement – Phase I
Graham, North Carolina

Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Graham (Owner), 201 South Main Street, Graham, North Carolina 27253, (336) 570-6700, at the Graham City Hall Building, until 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 14th, 2024, for the 10” Water Main Replacement – Phase I.

At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The proposed work will consist of the installation of new water infrastructure for the City of Graham in the vicinity of U.S. Highway 70 (East Main Street) and Stone Street (SR 1935) in Alamance County, North Carolina. The primary work will include the following:

      • Connection to existing 30” & 16” DIP Waterlines
      • Installation of approximately 5,340 LF 30” DIP Water
      • Installation of approximately 6,750 LF 16” DIP Water
      • Installation of (8) DIP jack and bore under NCDOT roadways/streams
      • Installation of (1) DIP jack and bore under NCRR railway

 

All bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file at the office of Alley,
Williams, Carmen & King, Inc., Post Office Box 1179 / 740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27216-1179.

Copies of Bidding Documents may be obtained from Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc. at the address indicated herein, or a digital set can be downloaded HERE.

Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina, duly licensed accordingly for the appropriate section of Bid. A 5% Bid security must accompany each Bid.

Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a
Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.

A Pre-bid meeting will be held at the Graham City Hall Building, 201 South Main Street, Graham, North Carolina 27253 on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024, at 2:00 PM. All bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.

No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 120 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
