ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids will be received by the Village of Alamance (Owner), 2874 Rob Shepherd Drive, Alamance, North Carolina 27051, (336) 226-5523, at the Naydine Sharpe Municipal Building, until 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 14, 2023, for the Cardinal Lane Sewer Outfall Relocation.

At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The proposed work consists of installation of approximately 260 LF of 8” DIP Sanitary Sewer main, four pre-cast concrete manholes, aerial crossing, and erosion control measures.

All bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file at the office of Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc., Post Office Box 1179 / 740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27216-1179. MBE/WBE Business Participation provisions are included in the Bid Documents. Copies of Bidding Documents may be obtained from Engineer at the address indicated herein, or a digital set can be a digital set can be downloaded HERE.

Bidders must be duly licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina for the appropriate work which is being Bid.

Each Bid shall be accompanied with a deposit of cash, CERTIFIED CHECK or Bid Bond on bank or trust company in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid Amount for each Bid submitted.

Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.

A Pre-bid meeting will be held at Naydine Sharpe Municipal Building, 2874 Rob Shepherd Drive, Alamance, North Carolina at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 25, 2023. All bidders are encouraged to attend. View Pre-Bid Minutes

No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.

The Client, Contractor, Subcontractor or agent agrees to waive all claims against Alley, Williams, Carmen and King, Inc. (or its consultants) resulting in any way from the reuse of these drawings or data. In addition, the Client, Contractor, Subcontractor or agent, as applicable, agree, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to indemnify and hold harmless Alley, Williams, Carmen and King, Inc. (and its consultants) from any damage, liability or cost, including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs of defense, arising out of the use of these drawings. Under no circumstances shall transfer of the drawings and other instruments of service on electronic media for use by the Client, Contractor, Subcontractors or others be deemed a sale by Alley, Williams, Carmen and King, Inc., and AWCK makes no warranties, either express or implied, of merchantibility or fitness for any particular purpose.
