18157C Town of Swepsonville – Virginia Mills Outfall and Hillside Outfall


Sealed Bids will be received by the Town of Swepsonville (Owner), 2747 Darrell Newton Drive, Graham, NC 27253, (336) 578-5644, at the Swepsonville Town Hall, until Thursday, November 11th, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. for the Virginia Mills Outfall and Hillside Outfall Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation – Cleaning and Inspection project.

At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The proposed work is generally described as follows:

Sanitary Sewer Cleaning and Inspection:
– Cleaning of sanitary sewer gravity lines ranging from 6” to 15”
– CCTV inspections of sanitary sewer gravity lines ranging from 6” to 15”

All bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file at the office of Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc., Post Office Box 1179 / 740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27216-1179.

Bidders must be licensed to work in the State of North Carolina, duly licensed accordingly for the appropriate section of Bid.

A 5% Bid security must accompany each Bid.

Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.

A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Swepsonville Town Hall Building, 2747 Darrell Newton Drive, Graham, North Carolina, 27253 on Thursday, October 21st, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. All bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.

Disadvantaged Business Participation (DBE, MBE, WBE) provisions are included in the contract. The contract is expected to be funded by a loan under the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program.

Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids, and to reject the bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of Owner to make an award to that Bidder. Owner also reserves the right to waive informalities.

If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will give the Successful Bidder a Notice of Award within the number of days set forth in the Bid Form.
