MACC Basketball Court

The City is soliciting informal bids for the referenced project. Bid Documents for the project can be obtained by completing the form provided at the end of this page. This project consists of Grading, installation of asphalt basketball court with goals and fencing, concrete sidewalk, lining of the playing surface, erosion control, landscaping, and extension of RCP pipe. Lump Sum items containing a Base Bid and Three (3) alternatives are requested.

Pre-Bid Conference

A pre-bid conference is scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 6, 2025 in the Glendel Stephenson Municipal Building Council Chambers, 106 E. Washington Street, Mebane, NC. A site visit will follow afterwards for all interested parties.

Sealed bids for the MACC Basketball Court will be received by the City of Mebane in the Glendel Stephenson Municipal Building Council Chambers, 106 E. Washington Street, Mebane, North Carolina until 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 18, 2025 and then publicly opened and read aloud.

The work will include the following items: 

Work consists of Grading, installation of asphalt basketball court with goals and fencing, concrete sidewalk, lining of the playing surface, erosion control, landscaping, and extension of RCP pipe.

Lump Sum items containing a Base Bid and Three (3) alternatives are requested.  

Consideration will be given only to bids of Contractors who submit evidence that they are licensed under "An Act to Regulate the Practice of General Contracting", ratified by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina on March 10, 1925, and as subsequently amended, when such Act is applicable.  

Each Proposal shall be accompanied with a deposit of cash or CERTIFIED CHECK on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the Proposal, said check to be made payable to the City of Mebane. In lieu of the above cash or CERTIFIED CHECK, the bidder may execute a Bid Bond for the same amount.

No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.  By order of the City Council, City of Mebane, North Carolina.

The Client, Contractor, Subcontractor or agent agrees not to use these drawings or data, in whole or part, for any other project. These drawings and data are provided only for the convenience of the parties involved. The Client, Contractor, Subcontractor or agent agrees to waive all claims against Alley, Williams, Carmen and King, Inc. (or its consultants) resulting in any way from the reuse of these drawings or data. In addition, the Client, Contractor, Subcontractor or agent, as applicable, agree, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to indemnify and hold harmless Alley, Williams, Carmen and King, Inc. (and its consultants) from any damage, liability or cost, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs of defense, arising out of the use of these drawings. Under no circumstances shall transfer of the drawings and other instruments of service on electronic media for use by the Client, Contractor, Subcontractors or others be deemed a sale by Alley, Williams, Carmen and King, Inc., and AWCK makes no warranties, either express or implied, of merchantibility or fitness for any particular purpose.
