Mebane Arts and Community Center

The Mebane Arts and Community Center is a 32,000 square foot facility located on Corregidor Drive in Mebane, adjacent to the city’s main recreation complex. The building houses a large double gym with adjacent permanent stage, an arts display hall, four large meeting spaces, kitchen, offices for Parks and Recreation Department staff, and ancillary, storage and support spaces. The main space has a fully controllable light and sound system, as well as metal halide lighting for recreation activity use, and a suspended resilient floor system suitable for athletic activities, theatrical and musical performances, community and trade shows and other public uses. The building is used by Eastern Alamance High School for its annual graduation ceremonies, and at least two high schools have used it for their proms. The large meeting spaces are available for community use, and also host the city’s senior citizens’ programs.
