17103 – Town of Haw River – Lang Street Pump Station Replacement

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids will be received by the Town of Haw River, 403 East Main Street, Haw River, NC 27258, (336) 578-0784, at the Haw River Municipal Building, until 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 30, 2019, for the Lang Street Pump Station Replacement.

At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The proposed work is generally described as follows:

Contract No. 1 Lang Street Pump Station Replacement

– Construction of a new sewer lift station including (2) – 700 gpm, 50 HP Pumps, 8’ Diameter precast concrete wet well, controls and appurtenances

– 12′ x 25′ Control Shelter

– Cast-in-Place Retaining Wall

– Replace existing manhole Ring and Covers with Locking Ring and Covers

All bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file with the Town of Haw River and at the office of Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc., Post Office Box 1179 / 740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27216-1179.

Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina, duly licensed accordingly for the appropriate section of Bid.

A 5% Bid security must accompany each Bid.

Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.

A Pre-bid meeting will be held at the Haw River Municipal Building, 403 East Main Street, Haw River, North Carolina, 27258 on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM. All bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.,

Disadvantaged Business Participation (DBE, MBE, WBE) provisions are included in the contract. The contract is being funded by a loan under the NC Division of Water Infrastructure State Reserve Program.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of opening thereof. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids, and to reject the bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of Owner to make an award to that Bidder. Owner also reserves the right to waive informalities.

If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will give to each Successful Bidder a Notice of Award within the number of days set forth in the Bid Form.
