17023 (NCDWI PROJECT NO. CS370619-07) Hank’s Branch Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation, Phase II

INVITATION TO BID

Sealed Bids in duplicate addressed to the City of Thomasville will be received in the office of the City Utilities Director, 10 Salem Street, Thomasville, NC, 27360, until 2:00 p.m., December 16th, 2020. Due to Covid safety precautions, those submitting bids in-person shall contact City of Thomasville deliveries at (336) 475-5538 upon arrival at 10 Salem Street to have a representative collect bid outside of the building. Bid opening will take place at Veterans Memorial Park picnic shelter, 201 Stadium Drive, Thomasville, NC 27360 at 2:30 p.m., December 16th, 2020 and then publicly opened and read aloud for furnishing all plant, labor, material, and equipment, and performing all work required for construction of Hank’s Branch Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation, Phase II.

The work includes approximately 2,416 linear feet of 12-inch (12”) cured in place pipe (“CIPP”) sanitary sewer rehabilitation, approximately 2,447 linear feet of 12” sanitary sewer dig and replace point repair, approximately 817 linear feet of 10-inch (10”) CIPP sanitary sewer rehabilitation, approximately 1,949 linear feet of 8-inch (8”) CIPP sanitary sewer rehabilitation, approximately 715 linear feet of 8-inch (8”) sanitary sewer dig and replace point repair, approximately 20 sanitary sewer manhole replacements, rehabilitation of approximately 27 sanitary sewer manholes, and approximately 1 new manhole installation.

The project is located in the City of Thomasville, in Davidson County, North Carolina.

There will be a pre-bid conference at Veterans Memorial Park picnic shelter, 201 Stadium Drive, Thomasville, NC 27360, at 10:00 a.m., December 1st, 2020. Attendance is not mandatory.

Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina, and duly licensed for the appropriate section of Bid.

A five percent (5%) Bid Security must accompany each Bid.

Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.

Contract is contingent upon release of funds from the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Water Infrastructure. Any contract or contracts awarded under this Invitation to Bid are expected to be funded by a loan from the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Water Infrastructure. Neither the State of North Carolina nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees are to be a party to this Invitation to Bid or any resulting contracts.

The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any or all irregularities. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 90 days from the date bids are opened.
