Sealed Bids in duplicate addressed to the City of Thomasville will be received in the office of the City Utilities Director, 10 Salem Street, Thomasville, NC, 27360, until 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January, 23, 2019, and then publicly opened and read aloud for furnishing all plant, labor, material, and equipment, and performing all work required for construction of Hank’s Branch Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation, Phase I.

The work includes approximately 155 linear feet of 15-inch (15”) cured in place pipe (“CIPP”) sanitary sewer rehabilitation, approximately 5,000 linear feet of 18-inch (18”) CIPP sanitary sewer rehabilitation, and rehabilitation of approximately 28 sanitary sewer manholes.

Plans, specifications, and bidding documents are available for viewing in the offices of Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc., 740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215, or may be obtained  HERE.

The project is located in the City of Thomasville, in Davidson County, North Carolina.

There will be a pre-bid conference at City of Thomasville City Hall, 10 Salem Street, Thomasville, NC 27360, at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January, 9, 2019. Attendance is not mandatory.

Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina, and duly licensed for the appropriate section of Bid.

A five percent (5%) Bid Security must accompany each Bid.

Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.

Contract is contingent upon release of funds from the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Water Infrastructure. Any contract or contracts awarded under this Invitation to Bid are expected to be funded by a loan from the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Water Infrastructure. Neither the State of North Carolina nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees are to be a party to this Invitation to Bid or any resulting contracts.

The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any or all irregularities. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 90 days from the date bids are opened.
