City of Graham—Boyd Creek Sanitary Sewer Outfall Replacement

AWCK provided construction drawings, specifications and bid documents, and construction related services for replacement of the City of Graham’s Boyd Creek Outfall line. The project included replacing 1525’ of existing 18” clay lines that were failing with an 18” ductile iron line directly beside Boyd Creek within the Little Alamance Watershed. Construction of the project included extensive bypass pumping as the sewer line was installed in the same trench as the existing line while monitoring the Boyd Creek within the Little Alamance Watershed. The project did not require a new sanitary sewer permit because it was replaced in the same location. The project was completed in 2008.
